A team of scientists working on a remote dig site find the buried body of an enormous monster, perfectly preserved even after 200 million years. As soon as the beast is uncovered, however, an alien spacecraft suddenly appears above them and brings the monster back to life! The creature immediately sets about levelling the surrounding urban landscape and shrugging off the best firepower the military can throw at it. A lone scientist, working on decrypting an ancient set of hieroglyphics, may be on the verge of finding the aliens' weak point, but will it be too late?

Old School Monster Party
Forget about the confusing story line (something about a previous race of people and their legacy to kill any other race which produces too much pollution), dismiss the over acting (from the likes of Richard B. Livingston as the mad scientist cum archeologist, those first few scenes of his were decidedly scenery chewing -- a little milk with the set, Mr. Livingston) and forgive the bad special effects because the feel of the movie is right. On channel 32 in my home town -- they used to run all the Giant monster films in the afternoon. Godzilla, Rotunda, Ramtha -- you name it, Japan supplied it. So this movie, which on my VHS was called Reptilian, compliments a Saturday afternoon while you're playing Final Fantasy 10 and kicking back -------------
